R. Barry Tucker

Barry Tucker brings more than 30 years of experience in the environmental remediation and demolition industries, combining a strong technical background with decades of consulting, training, and leadership experience.
Barry began his career as an environmental analyst in the wastewater and drinking water industry, serving landfills, municipalities, and petroleum distribution facilities. He later transitioned into environmental consulting and training, specializing in asbestos, lead, and mold. His work included projects for organizations and facilities such as Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, the Savannah River Site, V.C. Summer/Parr Nuclear Station, and numerous K–12 schools, colleges, and universities throughout South Carolina.
Throughout his career, Barry has held certifications across numerous asbestos, lead, and mold disciplines, including Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) and mold spore analysis. His laboratory experience has included working with organizations such as Sun City Analytical, W.R. Grace Enoree, and SEEML to establish laboratory operations and quality assurance/quality control programs, as well as assisting laboratories in regaining accreditation.
Barry has also served as an instructor for multiple environmental training organizations, including Greenville Technical College, where he later served on the Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Board.
Today, as President of CIDS Holdco, Barry is focused on positioning the organization for its next stage of growth. His efforts include introducing new technologies, expanding into new markets, developing new branch operations, and leading strategic acquisitions, including Green Giant Waste and SeaCoast Concrete Cutting. Working alongside CFO Jeff Hendrix and Peninsula Private Equity, he continues to focus on expanding the company's capabilities, strengthening its market presence, and building the CIDS family of companies for long-term growth.
