Will Smith is a key member of the Dispatch and Logistics team for Green Giant Waste, a CIDS Holdco company serving the Upstate of South Carolina. Working alongside Jonathan Reed, Will helps manage the daily routing, scheduling, and movement of roll-off trucks and containers throughout Green Giant’s service area.

A significant part of Will’s role involves supporting production homebuilders and active residential developments. He helps coordinate the strategic placement, servicing, relocation, and removal of roll-off containers based on construction activity and anticipated customer needs. Through regular monitoring of active developments, Will and the Green Giant logistics team work proactively to identify when containers require service—often before the builder needs to make a request.

This proactive approach requires much more than simply dispatching trucks. Will helps balance truck availability, container inventory, route efficiency, disposal schedules, jobsite conditions, and changing construction timelines across numerous active developments.

Working as an integral part of Green Giant’s logistics operation, Will helps ensure that trucks and containers are positioned where they are needed while minimizing unnecessary travel and downtime. These decisions directly affect customer service, equipment utilization, operating costs, and the overall profitability of the roll-off operation.

Will’s contribution is an important part of the team-oriented approach that allows Green Giant to provide production homebuilders with dependable, responsive service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to support the company’s continued growth throughout Upstate South Carolina.
